Instead, it is also a mandatory document for availing banking and other government benefits. Our Aadhaar card is a unique document because it contains all the information you need, including demographics and biometric details. However, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) claims that its database is completely secure. But you still have to take some precautions.

Never share your Aadhaar number with any unauthorized or strangers.
Never share your One Time Password (OTP) with any person or agency. No UIDAI representative calls for your OTP. Therefore, do not share your OTP with anyone.
UIDAI also recognizes digital Aadhaar cards. So, instead of printing, you can save a digital copy to your mobile or laptop. If you are downloading it to a public machine, be sure to delete the local copy.
For basic verification and other features, register your mobile number. If you haven't registered or changed your number yet, go to your nearest Base Center and update it.
When submitting documents, specify its purpose. For example, if you are providing a photocopy of Aadhaar card for opening a bank account, you can write 'XYZ> Proof of identity to open bank account' on it.
You can easily track your Aadhaar card history by visiting UIDAI's official website. With this you can find out the details of where your unique identification code was used.
You can also check if the Aadhaar biometric lock or unlock system is present in the official website of UIDAI. This protects the privacy of your base data.
You should regularly monitor your support transactions. For this you can log on to the official website of UIDAI.
Update your support details only by visiting the agencies authorized by UIDAI.
